Simply the BEST!

I bought my Lance truck camper from Richard's Boat and RV new in 2013. I recently had the need to sell my truck and camper for health reasons. I decided the truck and camper on several internet RV sites and I also set it at several locations near my home. What I got for my effort was a series of people making offers that were way less than I was asking. I did my home work and found the private party price for my camper and truck and priced it for a quick sale. Dealing with the general public is not a fun experience. After meeting with way too many "buyers" who were looking to take advantage of me, I decided to ask the dealer where I bought the camper from in 2013 for advice on how to sell the camper. Richard told me that they would either handle the sale of my camper or they would buy it outright. I decided on the buy outright option and took my camper to Richard to sell it to him. We immediately agreed on a fair price and after inspecting the camper, Richard ask me if I would sell the truck and in just a few minuets, agreed to sell the truck also. The price offered to me was fair and reasonable and Richard and his team made the transaction an enjoyable one. I suggest that you contact Richard's Boat and RV if you want to buy or sell and RV. They are friendly, professional, low key, honest and I would do business with them again.

I contacted Dan and told him what I was looking for in a truck camper. He was very helpful ordering the camper I was looking for and made me a fare deal on the price. I left my old camper on consignment at Richards Boats upon picking up my new camper and within about a month they sold my old camper. I am very satisfied with my purchase and all the people at Richards Boats.

We were just about to travel out of state to purchase a different brand of truck camper. Stopped by Richards to look at the 1181 the day before we were going to leave. Dan talked us into spending a few minutes to option out the camper just the way we wanted and give us a price. I was pretty amazed at the deal and we cancelled our out of state plans and bought from Richards. I can be somewhat of a difficult customer at times but Dan did a pretty good job of putting up with me. If your going to buy a Lance camper or trailer, I highly recommend a visit to Richards before you buy somewhere else!!

We just purchased a Lance 1181 truck camper. Drove down and picked it up on Friday. Packed Saturday, and off camping on the Sunday. The camper worked great. Comfortable, and especially convenient when it rained cats and dogs, and our kids wanted to move back inside from their tent. Dan is the epitomy of low pressure sales. He gave us a great deal with zero fuss. He made sure we could get it customized the way we wanted. I really needed the forward extra roof rack on our trip to carry my Coleman Scanoe. I went on a tour of the Lance factory in Lancaster a couple of years ago. Dan was giving the tour. This sold me on both the Lance camper and Dan and Richard's Boats. I needed tie-downs, air springs, etc. mounted to my truck. Tom provided good advice on what was needed and had everything ready to mount when I got there. The mechanics did a nice job on mounting the hardware. It was a neat installation, including the mounting for the cab-over shocks, which I was concerned about (I didn't want to mess up the plastic trim on the F-350 hood). Special thanks to Cody for perfoming the installation. He also diagnozed and quickly fixed a wiring problem that the factory had caused on the rear view camera installation. Cody provided a comphrehensive walk-around of the camper to make sure I understood how everything works, before I set off. I highly recommend contacting Dan if you want a camper.

Returned to the boat center about a year from purchase of a Palomino Bronco Truck camper. I had an extensive list of questions which Richard addressed requiring about 2 hours of his time, I could not be more pleased. Thank You.

After doing considerable research, I performed an online search for a Lance 1274, which led me to Dan here at Richards. One week later, we drove away with our new travel trailer, exactly what we wanted for less than we thought possible. A positive experience from start to finish!

We just bought a new Lance camper model 1181. It is our 3rd Lance. Dreading the negotiation process with prior dealers, I decided to get pricng via the internet. Since I knew exactly which model and what options we wanted, I fired off my request to several Lance dealers within 300 mles of my home; I got three responses. two that were priced at list and were obviously intended to get me into a negotiation and they had a meriad of questions. I also received a price from Dan at Richards Boat and RV. Dan could tell that I was an experienced former Lance owner and that I needed no "Sales help". His quoted price was one that cut to the chase so we hopped over to see him the next day. When we arrived, Dan said "let's go over to the factory and see what is being made" at the time. We got a personal tour of the Lance factory with Dan explaning everything. The day we picked up the new camper, we were greeted in the yard by Richard who took charge of taking our old Lance off our truck and then turned us over to Jeff who put the new one on our truck and then went over all of the features of the new model. They did all of this before we saw Dan or signed a contract. They all three conveyed a casual and friendly atmosphere and made us feel that we had made the right choice in choosing Richards Boat and RV to purchase our new Lance. We just bought our new Lance camper model 1181 from Richards Boat and RV and were very happy with All aspects of the transaction from getting a great price to having the new camper fitted to our truck. I was not looking forward to the negotiation process to obtain a reasonable price but Dan made that part painless. He responded immediately to my request for an internet price that was not just a list price like I had received from other Lance dealers. It was a price that I could tell was not just a come in and see me and we will negotiate price. When we arrived to pick up the new camper we were met in the yard by Richard who immediately took charge of removing our old camper and getting it set up for a consignment sale. Next, we met Jeff who loaded the new camper on our truck and then went over all of the features and answered our questions about items our old camper did not have. All of this was done and we hadnt met with Dan yet to sign our contract. So about half an hour with Dan and we were on our way to adventure in our new Lance camper. I was told not to go to Richards because they didn't have a good service dept. I think that salesman in The Valley didn't want me to go there because be knew he'd loose the sale if I did. I'm glad I made the drive to Lancaster. Everyone at Richards was great! I financed with my credit union and they even helped with that. Lance and Richards are a good team!

I am a very happy owner of a Lance model 1985 trailer. Richard gave me a super deal, and they sold my vintage trailer at a good price for me. We've camped one time and planning other trips this year. We love our Lance, and are very satisfied with our experience with Richard and his great staff.

May 5, 2014, Good Morning. I want the thank the staff, Dan, Tom, Richard, Kyle and all the staff for making my Lance purchase experience easy. I looked at Lance trailers for four years; they just looked better each new year. What really drew use to Richard's boat and RV was the first call, when I talked with Dan. Dan made the process simple, gave me the information I asked for, never put pressure on me to buy today, answered my questions. We live 400 miles away, Carol and I were tired from the trip, and the staff showed patience and took the time to show us every feature of our new Lance. We had owned a trailer for the last 13 years, but there were a few adjustments to be made. Kyle took the time to show us how to hitch up with the Andersen hitch; we hitched and unhitched several times on the way up the coast to Santa Rosa with no problems. We felt like we bought the right trailer, from a great dealer at a fair price. I wish I lived closer so I could have my service done at Richard's. We bought a 2015 Lance 2285 travel trailer. The primary reason being price. They beat everyone in Ca. After dealing with Richard (owner), Dan (sales), Tom and his rescued pup (service mgr.) and Kyle (chief technician), I probably would have gone there anyway!! This is one of the few experiences after buying something that I DID NOT feel someone was giving me the bird. Great service and an awesome price!! We bought a 2014 Lance 1685 trailer. Dan and Richard made this purchase so easy. They were very helpful and patient with my questions. Dan drove it up to Las Vegas and met us there and took time to explain everything before we left. We have been out several weekends already and love, love, love this trailer!! Wish we lived closer, we would have Richard's do all our service work. Lance is a great product and this is the place to buy from!! We'll be back when we upgrade in the future!!

Found them on a search via the internet for a TT that had all the exact specs my wife and I were looking for. Being from So Cal and now live in Oceanside I knew a drive out to Lancaster would be no problem. I called them and spoke to Dan who was very helpful and knowledgeable. There was no sales pressure to buy just honest to good service. Very down to earth and great communications. I bought the trailer site unseen that's how much they made me feel at ease. Purchased a 1050s, Dan ordered from the factory per my order. Transaction was flawless down to the delivery. We saved a ton of money over the Best deal to be had in Colorado. The entire staff at Richards is outstanding and very friendly, could not be happier.
